Mens Sweater

Mens sweater styles are virtually limitless, ranging from cashmere and cotton to argyle, wool, fleece, and others.

If you’re a man looking for a stylish way to keep warm through the winter season, there are several different types of mens sweaters for you to choose from.  Whether you’re looking for a classic knitted sweater for men, a men’s pullover, or even a v-neck, there’s bound to be a style for you.  In fact, that’s the main factor in which mens sweater you choose to purchase and wear.  Now that fashion for men has an increased importance in today’s world, your sweater won’t be so much a way to keep warm, as it is your personal statement.

The most common type of mens sweater during the winter months tends to be argyle, or winter knit styles.  These are classics and offer men plenty of warmth in addition to style points.  But they also aren’t very durable if you’re going to be doing a lot of outdoor activities.  If you’ll be skiing, a knitted argyle mens sweater will look nice in the lodge, but won’t be as effective on the slopes.  They can be prone to snags, and also don’t resist water very well, making them a no go for most men, if you’ll be in the snow.  But no other man’s sweater type offers you a better classic look, and they are also very warm.

A more practical outdoor option would be a zip up or pullover fleece mens sweater.  These are made to stand up to harsh conditions, and provide plenty of warmth no matter how long you’ll be outdoors.  They also offer the same amount of style points, but of a different type.  While argyle is more of a classic taste, a fleece sweater has a new age outdoorsman appeal.  They are ideal for skiers, and will stand up through the snow, resisting moisture as much as possible.  Typically they won’t look as nice as a standard knitted mens sweater however, if you’ll be spending most of your time inside.

Typically a fleece mens sweater will be more expensive than an argyle type, because of the workmanship that goes into making each type.  Fleece is stronger and intended to keep you warm in harsh conditions, a knitted sweater is only made with aesthetic appeal in mind.  The average fleece can cost you around $40 and up for a really nice sweater.  Typically argyle and other knitted sweaters will be in the $25 and up ranger, depending upon style and design.

The best place to go for a mens sweater, will be an affordable clothing store with a wide selection of options, and there are plenty of them to choose from.  Large outlets like Old Navy are a good place to start, as they have affordable version of almost any sweater type.  That means you’ll be able to outfit yourself with whichever style seems most appropriate to you, no matter your budget size.  You can also find several options at local department stores, but usually a clothing store is best so that you’ll have the widest variety of possible options.  Make sure you always try before you buy however, to ensure your mens sweater provides a snug and warm fit that you’ll enjoy throughout the season.
